Introducing the Scouting Pathway

Introducing the Scouting Pathway πŸ…

The Irish Bowls Federation is excited to unveil our new Scouting Pathway, an initiative designed to identify and nurture emerging talent across Ireland! ☘️

πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ What is the Scouting Pathway?

This program allows clubs to nominate promising athletes to be evaluated by our network of scouts, opening doors for them to potentially join our high-performance pathway.

⁉️ How Does It Work?

The process begins with a nomination from your club. From there, our scouts will observe and report on key fundamentals such as delivery, positioning, temperament, and overall potential.

πŸ•ΈοΈ Who’s Involved?

We recently put out an expression of interest and now have a wide network of dedicated scouts serving as points of contact for male, female, and para-bowlers across all associations.

πŸ“Š What’s Evaluated?

Our scouts will assess the core skills crucial to the game, including consistency, drawing, weight shots, drawing to re-spots, ditch play, and the ability to draw and drive effectively.

πŸ“ˆ Drill Down on Talent

The scouting process incorporates specialized drills designed to evaluate and hone these essential skills, providing valuable insights into each athlete’s development areas and potential.

We’re committed to identifying and supporting the next generation of elite bowlers in Ireland. If someone you know showcases exceptional talent and dedication, speak to your club about getting nominated for the Scouting Pathway. πŸš€βœ¨
