European Championships Day 5

The fifth day of the championships proved a tough day for the Irish team. The interest in both Women’s Singles and Women’s Fours ended with 3rd and 4th place finishes in their groups respectively. In the Men’s competition with one round of games tomorrow the Fours have the best chance of qualification while Gary Kelly in the Men’s Singles must rely on results from other games to ensure qualification.

Game 1 v Guernsey won 21-13

Game 2 v Netherlands won 21-10

Game 1 v England lost 5-22

Game 2 v Jersey lost 11–14

Men’s Singles

Game 1 v Czech Republic won 21-9

Game 2 v Israel lost 15-21

Game 3 v Sweden won 21-12

Men’s Fours

Game 1 v Guernsey won 34-8

Game 2 v Scotland drew 14-14
