European Championships Day 4
The opening day of the Singles and Fours disciplines saw a day of mixed fortunes for the Irish teams after the success of the first 3 days.
In the Ladies Singles, Shauna O’Neill had one win and 2 losses in her games today. Despite this, she still remains in contention to qualify.
Game 1 v Czech Rep won 21-1
Game 2 v Scotland lost 12-21
Game 3 v Israel lost 8-21
In the Ladies Fours, the Irish quartet skipped by Chloe Wilson top the group with 2 wins and a draw from their first 3 games.
Game 1 v Isle of Man won 26-6
Game 2 v Switzerland won 13-8
Game 3 v Netherlands drew 11-11
In the Men’s Singles, Gary Kelly won 3 of his 4 games and is currently 2nd in his group.
Game 1 v Turkey won 21-11
Game 2 v Cyprus won 21-13
Game 3 v England lost 17-21
Game 4 v France won 21-4
The Men’s Fours also are in contention despite a disappointing defeat by Spain in their 2nd game.
Game 1 v Netherlands won 14-11
Game 2 v Spain lost 12-13
Game 3 v Hungary won 23-12
