MORE MEDAL SUCCESS FOR IRELAND

Ireland secured 3 further medals at Northfield Ayr with Gold in the Men’s Fours and silver in the Ladies Pairs and Men’s Para Pairs. This was an historic moment in Irish Bowls history with Glenn Kaufmann and Brian Smyth winning the first ever Para medal.

Men’s Fours won 14-12 v Scotland

Ladies Pairs lost 9-16 v England

Bronze Medal Matches

Ladies Triples lost 12-24 v England

Mixed VI Pairs lost 9-12 v Israel

Final Group Game

Men’s Mixed Pairs won 14-8 v Wales to secure the silver medal

Ireland also missed out narrowly (again) in the team competition to Scotland despite winning 3 golds, 2 silver and 1 bronze. These results plus the success at the Atlantic Challenge last week auger well for the future of Irish Bowls.
