British Isles International Series – Final Day

Ireland Shamrock Men’s team went into the final session with a realistic chance of qualification to the final stages of the British Isles International Series. They played Cymru in their final game, knowing any win would secure qualification, and an 8-2 win would mean participation in the final. After a tense match, the team secured the required 8-2 win.

The Ladies Shamrock team completed their series of games with a 6-4 defeat also by Cymru.

In the Gold medal match, the Shamrocks faced the Scottish Thistle, and despite a good start, they fell to a 9-1 defeat. So they had to be content with a silver medal.

The series has been a new concept, and in general, everyone involved has embraced it.
